San Diego Comic Con 2022: Top 10 Must-Attend Panels

San Diego Comic Con is back!


After two years of virtual conventions, SDCC is back in person to welcome over 100,000 people to San Diego. Beginning this Wednesday, the convention will play host to an assortment of amazing panels, exciting off-site activations, and countless opportunities for fans and celebrities to share their passions.


While there so many fantastic activities to choose from, here are some of the must-attend panels at this year’s SDCC:


1. Disability Representation On and Off Screen

From Inevitable Foundation and The Disability is Diversity Campaign, this panel will explore disability representation both on-screen and behind the camera. Panelists include Steve Way, Lauren Ridloff, Jillian Mercado, and Josh Feldman. [Thursday at 10 AM in Room 6A]


2. Moriarty: The Devil’s Game

Audible’s bold new addition to the Sherlock Holmes universe dares to ask: What if Holmes’ most villainous nemesis was actually an innocent man? With panelists Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Phil LaMarr, and Lindsay Whisler, this panel will provide an exciting look into the task of bringing these known characters to life in audio. [Thursday at 12:15 PM in Indigo Ballroom]


3. The End is Nye

Bill Nye the Science Guy is back and hosting an all-new science disaster series! Each episode explores an epic global disaster, then demystifies them using science to show how we can survive, mitigate, and even prevent them. [Saturday at 4:15 pm in Room 6A]


4. National Treasure: Edge of History

Join the cast and creators of the upcoming Disney+ Original series as they share a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the series. An expansion of the hit film franchise, this story is told from the point of view of a DREAMer who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime. [Thursday at 2:15 pm in Ballroom 20]


5. Musical Anatomy of a Superhero

Music has always been an important supporting character in movies; this goes to another level in the superhero film genre where the music sets a tone that helps define a character, an impending battle, or a triumphant moment. At this panel, leading Hollywood composers will explain the process and challenges of creating music behind the superhero genre, along with collaborating with the director, producers, and the franchise. [Thursday at 11 am in Indigo Ballroom]


6. Tuca & Bertie Season 3 Discussion and Q&A

This summer is sure to sizzle with the highly anticipated return of Tuca & Bertie on Adult Swim! Creator and Executive Producer Lisa Hanawalt will join series star Tiffany Haddish (Tuca), alongside Nicole Beyer (Gamby) and Sasheer Zamata (Kara), to dive into the upcoming third season of the Adult Swim animated comedy about colorful bird girl besties who navigate the ups and downs of adulting in life, love, and everything in between. [Saturday at 11:15 am in Indigo Ballroom]


7. The Resort

The highly anticipated mystery thriller will have its world premiere at San Diego Comic–Con with a special advance screening of the first episode followed by a panel discussion moderated by Variety’s Michael Schneider featuring creator Andy Siara and stars William Jackson Harper, Cristin Milioti, Luis Gerardo Méndez, and Nina Bloomgarden. [Saturday at 5:30 in Indigo Ballroom]


8. Inside “Severance”

Join Executive Producer and director Ben Stiller, creator and executive producer Dan Erickson and cast members Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Dichen Lachman and Jen Tullock as they share “Innie” secrets from season one of the Apple TV+ critically acclaimed series. [Thursday at 3:30 pm in Ballroom 20]


9. Evil Exclusive Screening and Panel

Now in its third season, the critically acclaimed psychological mystery examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. Series stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Christine Lahti, and Kurt Fuller host an exclusive sneak peek of an episode from Season 3 followed by a moderated panel discussion. [Saturday at 10 am in Ballroom 20]


10. Making A Mash-Up: MultiVersus

Get a behind-the-scenes look at MultiVersus, the all-new free-to-play, platform fighter video game featuring an ever-expanding cast of beloved heroes and personalities from Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC) to Shaggy (Scooby-Doo), Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes), Arya Stark (Game of Thrones) and many others. Get details about the game from panelists Tony Huynh (co-founder, Player First Games) and game director for MultiVersus and Sheloman Byrd (executive producer, Warner Bros. Games), along with MultiVersus actors Matthew Lillard (voice of Shaggy) and Tara Strong (My Little Pony, Teen Titans Go!, voice of Harley Quinn). [Friday at 10:15 am in Room 6BCF]
